Waiting For A Train

...homeless people and vagabonds, young and old. It was written from the perspective that a lot of these people have made this choice, a lot of them haven’t and they’re where they are because of circumstances. “Hey, I’m not lonely — I’m just waiting for a train. Don’t feel pity; this is life I choose.” There’s some melancholy in it because that can be a lonely life to live, but it is your choice at the end of the day.

lyrics

You might think I live out here
I'm just a vagabond
lost my mind a while back
don't know where I'm from
I must be on the alcohol
the powder or the weed
but I ain't lonely
I'm just waiting for a train

I follow sounds like beating drums
a poacher for a feast
passers by don't give a damn
content to let me be
people say I've given up
I'm worthless to the seams
but I ain't lonely
I'm just waiting for a train

When it comes
When it comes
When it comes
I won't even say goodbye
When it comes
When it comes
When it comes
I'm just waiting for a ride
a ride...

You might think he lives out here
he's just a vagabond
he lost his mind a while back
he don't know where he's from
he must be on the alcohol
the powder, or the weed
but he aint lonely
he's just waiting for his train

When it comes
When it comes
When it comes
I won't even say goodbye
When it comes
When it comes
When it comes
I'm just waiting for a ride
a ride...
