Dungeons and Dragons stuff with a younger element of fantasy and dreams. The music really goes along with it, and there’s this cool creepy dance vibe. It’s a great Halloween song and we totally jammed it at the (Ventura) Theater. There’s also an underlying theme of, “Don’t listen to those who might poison your mind but rather use the poison on those that are trying to use it on you..
I fought the wizard brain
long and hard
didn't matter that the wench came in
a little tardy
I don't have the weaponry, can't you see?
throw me some sort of spear
quick now the beast is near!
and then a hollow man told me
there's no medicine for a starving mind
…and there's no time
for wasting my
precious life
so don't move too fast
just let the moment last
I rang the prison bell
long and hard
couldn't imagine why the priest was there
high like a kite
I sing falsetto in the dungeon choir
he who loves me, stands above me!
and then a hollow man told me..
there's no medicine for a starving mind
..and there's no time
for wasting my precious life
so don't move too fast
just let the moment last
..in my constant coming down
I don't even watch my words
and I see them crushing you
you're being trampled
by the herd
well I should bleed for what I've done
took your honesty away
"it's a personal device"
says the hunter to his prey
then sadness told me a story
wicked, wordy and true
and then she showed me her body
and it made me think of you
it made me think of you
mmmmm
I'd be a slave if I believed the king
with fingers in my ears
I run till the coast is clear
I brave the elements across the land
this trail's all wet with slime
and his evil winking eye
I killed the hollow man slowly
stole his medicine
and cured my starving mind
..there's no time
for wasting my precious life
so don't move too fast
just let the moment
last.
